Honda Ride Red 2019 invades Davao, Tagum City with Honda XRM125FI

Davao, Philippines – September 29, 2019 – Honda Philippines, Inc. (HPI), the number one motorcycle manufacturer in the Philippines, held its Honda Ride Red race in Davao and Tagum City last September 15, and 29, respectively.

This event also releases the new Honda XRM125FI new stripes and colors. For race purposes, it is installed with Off Road Race muffler and tires while keeping the unit in stock condition. The event shows the toughness and durability of the XRM125 FI by using it in an off road race track and for the riders to race the challenging technical track of Davao and Tagum. This year, Honda Ride Red featured four categories: Ladies, Beginners, Novice, and Intermediate.

The Honda Ride Red Davao race was participated by a total of 131 riders from different parts of the region, it was held at the LDL Property, the biggest track of 2019, located at Diversion Road, Buhangin, Davao City and was witnessed almost by a thousand crowd. With the technicalities of the natural terrains, the riders’ motorcycle skills were tested all-out as they drive through the exciting trail path.

In the ladies Category, Angelie Sala came triumphant with Rica Simon and Marienne Dionela placing second and third, respectively.

In the beginner’s category, Jasper Lanticse placed first, with Ryan Tiongson coming second, and Niel Brilie Alfantra placing third.

In the novice category, Richard Dionela bagged the 1st place, followed by Melvin Hijara (2nd place) and Jakob Stela (3rd place).

The intermediate category, on the other hand, was dominated by Ronel Tiongson, followed by Edward Saraga (2nd place), and Patrick Gumbok (3rd place).

Meanwhile, the Honda Ride Red in Tagum City was participated by a total of 69 riders most from Mindanao, except for one group who came from Leyte. It was held at Davao Del Norte Provincial Sports Complex and witnessed by more than 800, gathering Honda XRM125FI riders, vying for the champ.

In the ladies category, Jecy Rose Abayon won first place, with Angelie Sala and Rica Simon, winning the 2nd and 3rd place.

The beginner’s category, on the other hand, was dominated by Raphy Asuan, who came in first place, followed by Ryan Buguis (2nd place) and John John Sayong (3rd place).

In the novice category, Epoy Buguis won first, followed by Maverick Sapilin (2nd place) and Mark John Nijara (3rd place).

Lastly, Jun Dama Arado bagged 1st place at the Champion’s Category with Tabanay (2nd place) and Wenrey Arayo (3rd place).

The Honda Ride Red also displayed the Honda CRF450R Works Edition 2020 version with high-end specifications for the motocross rider.

In line with Honda’s ONE DREAM campaign, Honda Red Ride strives to give opportunity to riders to better understand the dynamics of motorcycling and promote the sport among the Filipino youth.

Honda’s One Dream campaign aims to serve Honda Motorcycles as tools in achieving one’s dream and unite all motorcycle riders through various fun-filled activities.

The event was also made possible by Honda Ride Red’s sponsors, including Idemitsu, RK Takasago Chain, Threebond, NGK Spark Plugs, and MBPStar Tires.
