Honda Philippines, Inc. celebrates 7-Million Units of Motorcycle Production
Batangas, Philippines, 18th August 2022 - Honda Philippines, Inc., (HPI) the leading motorcycle manufacturer in the country, celebrates yet another milestone for achieving the seven-million mark in locally manufactured motorcycles. A Special TMX125 ALPHA edition, sporting a Café-Racer inspired design commemorated the 7-millionth unit produced.
TMX125 Alpha has been made known as a business category model due to its high quality, power and affordability. But over the years, custom bike enthusiasts, created a trend making this bike for solo use due to its simplicity and ease for modification. This unique ride is powered by the legendary Overhead Valve (OHV) engine, which uses a push rod to balance acceleration and control. The result is hours of easy and hassle-free riding experience on a remarkably fuel-efficient consumption at 62.5km/L, making it the perfect everyday bike.
“The achievement of the 7-Millionth production milestone serves as an affirmation of HPI’s commitment to continuously respond to the customers' need for mobility, as we realize Honda’s Global Vision to “serve people worldwide with the joy of expanding their life’s potential ,” says Mr. Susumu Mitsuishi, HPI President. “We aim to improve our customers daily lives through experiencing Honda products and services that exceed their expectations.”

Aside from TMX125 ALPHA, HPI offers a complete range of motorcycles that dominate the streets. The collection ranges from Big Bikes to scooters, from on-road sports to off-road sports models. There are several underbone and business motorcycles as well.
HPI manufactures units at its 20-hectare plant in Batangas, employing processes designed to put safe, efficient, economical, and environment-friendly technology at the service of people and the community.
HPI traces its roots in 1964 when Mariwasa-Distribution, Inc. was established. An agreement between Mariwasa-Distribution, Inc. and Honda Motor Co. Ltd. of Japan led to the formation of Mariwasa-Honda Inc. in 1973, before the company was renamed to Honda Philippines, Inc. in 1983.
Despite the challenges brought about by Covid-19 pandemic, Honda Philippines, Inc. remains resilient and took the opportunity to further grow the business in this “new normal” era. HPI consistently achieves its yearly targets and maintains the no. 1 rank in terms of market share among the motorcycle manufacturers in the country.
This milestone was also made possible by Honda’s strong business partners, stakeholders and most especially its valued and loyal Filipino customers.
