Carmona, Cavite — November 23-25, 2018— After its racing team secured multiple podium finishes last year, Honda Philippines, Inc. (HPI), the number one motorcycle manufacturer in the Philippines, once again joins the Inside Racing Grand Prix (IRGP) on its 12th year at Carmona Race Track in Cavite.
This year, Honda is aiming for more success as it teams up with JVT to support its racing team and develop the MotoGP DNA racebike, the RS150R to compete in the Masters Trophy, Underbone Grand Prix, Juniors Elite UB Trophy. The RS150R was modified with help of JVT and its performance parts and expert race enhancements which will give the riders and the racing team an advantage to win and make the competition more exciting and thrilling.
This is aligned with Honda’s affinity to challenges that drives them to continue developing features for our race bikes that will allow them to compete among top riders in the country. The competition will not only showcase the riders’ skills, HPI will also show their motorcycles’ speed and power on the race track.
This goal is also aligned with Honda’s rich history globally in motorsports. Since the era of their founder, Soichiro Honda, the company has been developing technology and machinery for the race track, motivated by success in motorsports.
Riders from the recently concluded Honda Pilipinas Dream Cup (HPDC) will also participate in the race with their respective race teams. 13-year-old grand champion Alfred Jakob Sablaya is riding with the Honda BeAT. Sean Barcial and Kervie Bergania, who placed 2nd and 4th respectively at HPDC, opted to use a familiar bike that lead them to success at the Dream Cup, which is the CBR150R.
With this, Honda is aiming for more success with their racebikes this year as it concludes its circuit race season, with IRGP being the culminating race event of motorsports season. This event is an opportunity to bring together riders, enthusiasts, and race fans, to celebrate and share their passion for racing.
