MARCH 8, 2019

Sepang, Malaysia – 8 March 2019: The Honda Group of Companies in Asia & Oceania announced that
SHOWA CORPORATION, a manufacturer of automotive and motorcycle suspension systems, has become the official team sponsor of Honda Asia-Dream Racing. With this collaboration, the racing team’s name is now officially Honda Asia-Dream Racing with SHOWA.

SHOWA CORPORATION is widely recognized for the high-quality suspension products it provides to major motorcycle and automobile manufacturers. The new partnership will support Honda Asia-Dream Racing, which is Honda’s primary racing team in the Asia & Oceania motorsports scene.

The Honda Asia-Dream Racing with SHOWA team, which is recruiting top personnel from Honda subsidiaries and other Honda racing teams across the Asia & Oceania region, is led by former MotoGP racer Makoto Tamada as team manager, with Zaqhwan Zaidi from Malaysia as team rider of the CBR1000RR SP2 racing machine.
